Artwork and Publicity
Evon Zerbetz is the goddess behind the amazing artwork for tango camp. Relief printmaking has been her passion for over 20 years. “I prefer carving tools over pencils, and relish the physicality of mask making as I carve into linoleum and other matrices to make my printing plates.” Evon enjoys many dance styles including tango, waltz, swing, and zydeco. She also enjoys reading and writing haiku and senryu, hiking, yoga and cooking from around the world. We are so lucky to have Evon’s beautiful work as the face of our tango camp experience, thank you Evon!
Photographer
Kyle Asher is an Argentine tango dancer, teacher and photographer from Ashland, Oregon. Aside from photography, you can find Kyle dancing wherever there is music, wine tasting, and spending time with good friends. Kyle works full time for a family business, so dancing and photography gives him a way to express himself. We are so grateful Kyle will be joining us at tango camp this year!
Volunteers
The volunteer team at Tango Camp is primarily made up of die-hard locals who love making others feel welcome in our cherished Anchorage tango community. From donating things for added comfort to arriving early and staying late to keep things running smoothly, these dancers know the heart of the event is in everyone feeling comfortable and supported in their tango experience. We offer a cozy tango abrazo to our volunteer crew for their dedication! Be sure to dance them with your gratitude!
Tango Camp would especially like to thank our very own Mike Humphrey for his timeless efforts in our website management.
